ABSTRACT

The foundation of the university lies in the cultivation of virtue and people. The construction of the ideological and political work system in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) colleges and universities embodies the Marxist on the theory of all-sided development of human beings, the concept and practical requirements of "three-wide education", and the special laws of the ideological and political work in TCM colleges and universities. It is the realistic need to carry out the strategy of cultivating good quality, to innovate and develop the system of ideological and political work, and to improve the quality of TCM personnel training. TCM Colleges and universities should dig deeply into the ideological and political elements of TCM resources, integrate "virtue establishment and people cultivation" into the whole process of talent training, actively explore new ideas, new ways and new methods of constructing the ideological and political work system of TCM colleges and universities, and strive to cultivate high-quality TCM talents who shoulder the task of national rejuvenation.

ABSTRACT

At present, public health education in colleges and universities has many problems, such as insufficient education and practice for infectious diseases, serious shortage of public health talents, insufficient interdisciplinary integration of public health disciplines, lack of a holistic view of public health, and insufficient flexibility and autonomy of curriculum design in colleges and universities. These problems were closely related to the cultivation of practical ability of public health talents in colleges and universities. The new era puts forward high requirements for the construction of high-level schools of public health and the training of high-level public health talents, presenting both opportunities and challenges. The School of Public Health, Sun Yat-sen University proposed the idea of "combined peacetime and wartime training" to cultivate high-level public health talents who can solve practical problems, and jointly established a demonstration base for high-level public health talents training with Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The core content is “one class, one team, one hospital and one center”. The experimental class of "medical, prevention and management" talents, the Sun Yat-sen University-Guangzhou Volunteer Service Team for Epidemiological Investigation, the Graduate School of Guangzhou CDC, and the Joint Research Center of for Disease Surveillance and Early Warning and Risk Assessment of Sun Yat-sen University-Guangzhou CDC has been established. Virtual simulation experiments and simulation exercises have been conducted. It is an innovated training for high-level public health talents. The linkage between universities and CDCs to promote the development of public health disciplines can provide reference for public health personnel training in universities to cultivate high-level public health talents with the ability to solve practical problems.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the optimal dose of Th1/Th2 immuno-enhancement effects of cultivated Artemisia rupestris L. crude polysaccharides (CARCP) on foot-and-mouth disease vaccine (FMDV) via the intramuscular route. Methods:ICR mice were intramuscularly immunized twice with different concentrations of CARCP mixed with FMDV at 2-week intervals. FMDV-specific antibodies, isotypes, and IgE in serum were detected by ELISA. Splenocyte proliferation was detected by MTT. T lymphocyte subsets and cytokines in the spleen were detected by flow cytometry. Clinical signs and local reactions at the injection site were monitored daily, and the body weight of mice was weighed after immunization.Results:The medium dose of CARCP could significantly improve FMDV-specific IgG, IgG 1, and IgG 2a antibody levels and the IgG 2a/IgG 1 ratio ( P<0.05) and lead to significant splenocyte proliferative responses ( P<0.01). The medium dose of CARCP could also significantly increase the level of CD3 +CD4 + and CD3 +CD8 + T cells as well as CD4 +/CD8 + ratio ( P<0.05), elicited the higher levels of IFN-γ in CD4 + T cells and CD8 + T cells ( P<0.05). No local adverse reactions at the injection site were observed after immunization. There was no significant difference in body weight or growth between each group( P>0.05). CARCP did not significantly induce an IgE response ( P>0.05). Conclusions:CARCP as an FMDV adjuvant promotes Th1/Th2 immune responses, especially in favor of the Th1 response, and has a certain safety profile. The best immune enhancement is achieved with CARCP at medium doses.

ABSTRACT

Resumen El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la calidad nutricional en 3 cultivares de alfalfa, pertenecientes a diferentes grupos de reposo invernal (GRI), sometidos a dos frecuencias de corte, durante un año del cultivo, fundamentado en que es abundante la información existente en estudios realizados en productividad, cobertura y persistencia, no así en la determinación de calidad de forraje sometidos a diferentes frecuencias de cortes y de GRI contrastantes. Se utilizaron tres cultivares (GR6-Verzy), (GR9-Mecha) y (GR10-Ruano). El diseño experimental fue de parcelas divididas con cuatro repeticiones. Se establecieron 2 tratamientos definidos por los intervalos entre cortes: T1: 25 días y T2: 35 días. Estos fueron precisados para las estaciones de primavera, verano y otoño. En invierno el intervalo fue de 45 y 55 días en T1 y T2, respectivamente. Las variables evaluadas fueron: porcentaje de materia seca (% MS), porcentaje de proteína bruta (% PB), porcentaje de fibra detergente neutro (% FDN) y porcentaje de fibra detergente ácido (% FDA). Se encontraron diferencias significativas para todas las variables nutricionales estudiadas, para ambos tratamientos. Se observó interacción entre cultivares y tratamiento para % PB. Los cultivares estudiados con diferentes GRI, no expresaron diferencias significativas en los parámetros de calidad evaluados para ninguna de las frecuencias de corte realizadas. La frecuencia de corte de 35 días arrojó los menores % PB y mayores % FDN y % FDA, por lo cual el forraje resulta para esta frecuencia de menor calidad, llevando a la disminución de la digestibilidad y aprovechamiento de la pastura para el ganado.


Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the nutritional quality in 3 cultivars of alfalfa, belonging to different winter dormancy (GRI), subjected to two cutting frequencies during one year of cultivation, based on the abundant information existing in studies carried out in productivity, coverage and persistence, not so in the determination of quality of forage subjected to different frequencies of cuts and contrasting GRI. Three cultivars (GR6-Verzy), (GR9-Mecha) and (GR10-Ruano) were tested. The experimental design was a complete split plot with four repetitions. Two treatments defined by the cutting intervals were established: T1: 25 days and T2: 35 days. These were specified for spring, summer and fall seasons. For winter the interval was 45 and 55 days in T1 and T2, respectively. The evaluated variables were: percentage of dry matter (% DM), percentage of crude protein (% PB), percentage of neutral detergent fiber (% FDN) and percentage of acid detergent fiber (% FDA). Significant differences were found for all the nutritional variables studied, for both treatment with p <0.05 with InfoStat program. Interaction between cultivars and treatment was observed for % PB. The 35 days cutoff frequency of yielded the lowest percentages of PB and the highest percentages of FDN and FDA. Hence the forage resulting from this frequency is of a lower quality, leading to decreased digestibility and lower performance of pasture for livestock.

ABSTRACT

Objective::To deeply understand important scientific problems and key technical problems in the cultivation of Chuanxiong, the Chuanxiong cultivation situation of 247 households in 23 towns of 5 counties in Sichuan province were investigated, providing basic data for the standardized cultivation of Chuanxiong. Method::On the basis of reported literatures, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the farmers of cultivating Chuanxiong in main producing areas, field measurements were also preformed, and the cultivation status of Chuanxiong was comprehensively analyzed. Result::The proportion of plain-breeding mainly existed in Pengzhou and Shifang, where per farmer had a small scale of planting areas, was 65%, while the proportion of mountain-breeding mainly existed in Meishan, Qionglai and Dujiangyan, where per proprietor had a large scale of planting areas, was 92%. The planting density and yield of Chuanxiong varied greatly among individuals. The growth period of Chuanxiong in Meishan and Qionglai is about 30 days shorter than that in Pengzhou, Shifang and Dujiangyan. About half of farmers applied base fertilizer and top dressing in spring. The proportion of NPK compound fertilizer input was high (>90%). Chuangxiong has a few diseases and insect pests, the incidence of which in new production areas was obviously lower than that in old production areas. The application of herbicide was not standardized. 52% farmers used Chu cao ling No.1 which was made by agricultural material store owners. The labor cost accounted for the highest proportion (37%) in Chuanxiong cultivation. Conclusion::Now in Sichuan clonal propagated patterns of Chuanxiong were both mountain-breeding and plain-breeding. It is suggested to make clear the differences between mountain-breeding nodes and plain-breeding nodes, and breed high qualities of Chuanxiong nodes. The mechanization research and production of Chuanxiong should be promoted, realizing timely planting and harvesting. Farmers should be guided to increase the application of organic fertilizer, and meanwhile standardize the application of agrochemicals.

OBJECTIVE:To promote the work of clinical TCM pharmacists.METHODS:The problems faced by clinical TCM pharmacists were analyzed in respects of status quo of training in colleges and universities,status quo of hospital post training and status quo of continuing education.From the ability of post service,the ways to determine the duty orientation and improve the training quality of clinical TCM pharmacists were discussed theoretically.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:According to the nature of different types of medical institutions as TCM hospital,western medicine hospital,township community hospital and clinics,the responsibilities of clinical TCM pharmacists should be differentiated.TCM curriculum system of colleges and universities should be improved by adding social pharmaceutical education and TCM practical teaching.Based on the ability of post service,great importance should be attached to professional training of clinical TCM tablets after their employment.The theory,practice and research ability of clinical TCM talents should be improved by strengthening continuing education.The medical and pharmaceutical clinical TCM inter-disciplinary talent can be cultivated by improving rational drug use standard system.

ABSTRACT

El cultivo del boniato presenta una gran importancia, ya que se puede emplear en la alimentación humana y animal, así como en la industria; el mismo produce raíces reservantes de gran valor calórico y nutritivo con alto contenido de carbohidratos. Entre las raíces y tubérculos cultivados es el segundo en importancia y representa más del 80% de la producción mundial. El empleo de las técnicas in vitro constituye una poderosa herramienta en la explotación comercial, propiciando el empleo de la micropropagación en diferentes especies. Para desarrollar el presente trabajo se recolectaron raíces tuberosas pertenecientes al clon Inivit B 93-1. Se procedió a la formación de callos potencialmente embriogénicos, para lo cual se emplearon explantes de limbos foliares, desinfectados con hipoclorito de sodio (1%) y sembrados en el medio de cultivo propuesto por Murashige y Skoog (1962), vitaminas MS (10,0 ml/l-1), mioinositol (100 mg/l-1), sacarosa (3%), gelrite (0,2%), 2,4-D (0,25-2,5 mg/l-1) y 6-BAP (0,25-1,0 mg/l-1), el pH fue ajustado a 5,8 ± 0,01 mantenidos en la oscuridad durante treinta días, lográndose los mejores resultados con el uso del 2,4-D (0,50 mg/l-1) y 6-BAP (0,25 mg/l-1), y en los mismos se evaluó la dinámica del crecimiento y se lograron los mejores resultados entre los 28 y 32 días después de la siembra, para lo cual los resultados obtenidos servirán de base a otros estudios y permitirán evaluar, controlar y desarrollar estrategias para la conservación y el uso de los recursos naturales, dando cumplimiento al objetivo referente a estudiar la dinámica del crecimiento en la formación de callos potencialmente embriogénicos en el cultivo del boniato.


The cultivation of the sweet potato presents a great importance, since you can use in the human feeding, animal as well as in the industry, the same one produces roots reservantes of great caloric and nutritious value with high content of carbohydrates. Between the roots and cultivated tubers it is the second in importance and it represents more than 80% of the world production. The employment of the techniques in vitro constitutes a powerful tool in the commercial, propitiated exploitation the employment of the micropropagación in different species. It is for it that you/they were gathered to develop the present work tuberous roots of the clon INIVIT B 93-1. Was realized the formation of callus with embryogenic structures, explantes of leaves were used, disinfected with hipoclorito of sodium (1%) and inoculated in the tissue culture medium proposed by Murashige and Skoog (1962), vitamins MS (10.0 ml/l-1), myoinositol (100 mg/l-1), sucrose (3%), gelryte (0.2%), 2,4-D (0.25-2.5 mg/l-1) and 6-BAP (0.25-1.0 mg/l-1), the pH was adjusted 5.8 ± 0.01 maintained in the darkness during thirty days, being achieved the best results with the use of the 2,4-D (0.50 mg/l-1) and 6-BAP (0,25 mg/l-1) and was evaluated the grow dynamic and obtained the better resulted between 28 and 32 days after culture, for that which the obtained results will serve from base to other studies and they will allow to evaluate, to control and to develop strategies for the conservation and use of the natural resources, giving execution to the objective with respect to studying the dynamics of the growth potentially in the formation of tripes embriogénicos in the cultivation of the sweet potato.

ABSTRACT

Objective To replicate experimental animal model of knee osteoarthritis and to investigate the method of culture and biological characteristics of rats synoviocytes of gonarthritis in vitro.MethodsAnimal models of knee osteoarthritis were made by the Modified Hulth method.4 weeks after the replicating experiment,synovial tissues were mechanically isolated and enzyme-digested and the growth of the synovial cells was investigated.Results The synovial tissues were obviously hyperplasia in the model made by the Modified Hulth method.The synovial cells were abundant after enzyme-digested cultivation and the cell activity was higher than 98%.Conclusion The study exhibits that the Modified Hulth method apparently promotes the hyperplasia of synovial tissues.The methods of isolation and cultivation of the synovial cells in vitro is proved to be simple and feasible.

ABSTRACT

As to a nitrite-oxidizing bacterium screened in our laborator y, the effect of pH, nitrogen sources, carbon sources and sodium chloride on its g rowth was studied in order to obtain high cell density. It showed that the cult ure conditions of nitrite- oxidizing bacterium were 4500mg/L sodium nitrite, 1 .5g/L sodium carbonate, 0~0.5% sodium chloride and 0~0.1% glucose at 28℃~30 ℃, 110 r/min and pH 8.0~8.5. After cultivation for 9 days, the bacteria conc entration reached 4.6?109 MPN/mL and all NO-_2-N in the medium w as converted to NO-_3-N. But the transformation of nitrogen sources was inhibited while the sodium chloride concentration exceeded 0.5% or glucose con centration exceeded 0.1%. According to the test of NO-_2-N conversion with nitrite-oxidizing bacteria in a freshwater aquaculture pond, NO-_2 -N began to decrease on the third day of the moculation of this bacterium and t he concentration dropped from 1.47mol/L to 0.49mol/L after 18 days at 25℃ and pH 8.6.
